About Hippie Hued

Hippie Hued was founded in Chicago as an exploration of what clothing could be when freed from the constraints of mass production.

The studio emerged from a fascination with vintage textiles—the way they age, the stories they carry, the craftsmanship embedded in their construction. Rather than simply collecting these materials, we wanted to give them new purpose through reconstruction and design.

What started as small experiments in patchwork and deconstruction has evolved into a full practice of textile-based garment making. Each piece we create is informed by the materials themselves: their weight, their drape, their history.

We work slowly and intentionally, creating one-of-one garments that resist trends and fast fashion cycles. Our studio is a space for experimentation, where traditional techniques meet contemporary design sensibilities.

Based in Chicago, all garments are designed and constructed in-house.
